Simplified Bypass Operation
Group H ATS Controller
The Group H controller, based on decades of controls experience, governs all transfer switch operations. It supports open and delayed transition switching modes and offers: • Textual display of real-time status and information • LED indication of transfer switch position and source status • 3-Phase voltage and frequency measurements that are used for all control decisions • Standard event log for up to 300 transfer switch events • Programmable engine exerciser that suppor ts multiple schedules • Fully configurable pickup, dropout, and time delay settings • User-selectable in-phase transfer and common alarm output • Input for remote transfer commands and outputs for common alarm or pre/post transfer load disconnect

4000 SERIES Electrically Operated Bypass Switches are available in automatic or non-automatic transfer models. Both types monitor voltage and frequency and allow transfer only when the alternate source presents acceptable characteristics. Automatic models start engine generators and transfer loads to the alternate source without human intervention. Non-automatic models require an operator to initiate these operations. Open Transition models offer fast transfer times that are suited for a wide range of applications. Delayed Transition models allow for an extended disconnect interval during a transfer, where neither source is connected to load. The disconnect position allows residual voltages caused by large inductive loads to dissipate before closing on the alternate source.
6. A single handle connects and isolates transfer switch for inspection, testing, or service
