Did you know? Plants can talk to each other! They have a secret language underground that allows them to “talk”. Plants can send signals through their roots. These signals can help them share nutrients or warn each other about environmental stressors. What she likes about Gardening: • She loves seeing the seed grow into a plant or see the fruit and vegetable grow​ • She’s happy to see the roses bloom every year​ • She feels great to be one with nature What she finds challenging: • Bugs. As she finds them hard to control and can eat the whole garden if no one is watching​ • If plants are not growing or producing like she thought it would Janice the Inside Sales Leader at ASCO, spent her childhood in Northern Indiana on a large apple orchard with extensive vegetable and flower gardens. Although she didn’t enjoy weeding and harvesting vegetables as a child, she later found a love for gardening when she became independent.
